Crown Prince meets Governor of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today arrived in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province and met His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
His Royal Highness travelled to Saudi Arabia via the King Fahd Causeway and was accompanied by His Excellency Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, and a number of delegates. Upon his arrival, His Royal Highness was received by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, and a number of senior officials and officers.
At the start of the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the long-standing ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and noted the commitment of both His Majesty King Hamad and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, to further strengthening relations between the two countries.
His Royal Highness discussed recent regional issues of mutual interest and efforts to promote peace and security across the region and wider world. His Royal Highness also praised the prominent role played by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in unifying views on Arab and Islamic issues.?
Following the meeting, His Royal Highness attended a banquet convened in his honour, hosted by His Royal Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Senior members of the Saudi Royal family, as well as senior officials from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia attended the banquet.
