Crown Prince meets International Scholarship Programme students
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today welcomed this year’s recipients of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP), at Riffa Palace.
His Royal Highness extended his congratulations to the students and their parents, and highlighted the parents’ role in helping the students to meet the requirements of the Scholarship Programme.
His Royal Highness expressed his best wishes to the students, highlighting that the programme offers extensive support and builds on the students’ capabilities to contribute to the future development of the Kingdom.
In conclusion, His Royal Highness extended his thanks and appreciation to the staff of the CPISP, who liaise with renowned international universities and support the students from their enrolment through to their graduation.
The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) announced the winners of its 2015 scholarships, which make up the Program’s 16th Group of scholars, and who include the following students:

The 2015 scholarship recipients were selected among 316 Bahraini applicants from governmental and private schools in and outside of Bahrain who met the Program’s qualifying application criteria. The final selection criteria included their Grade Point Average, as well as the results of the IELTS and SAT examinations, leadership training, and the Critical Thinking course, which were organized by the CPISP as part of the candidacy training.
This group of outstanding scholarship recipients includes one student who obtained a full score on his SAT – Critical Writing examination.
The CPISP gives its scholarship recipients the opportunity to choose their own fields of study from international universities of their choice that they gain acceptance to. The Program has awarded a total of 156 university scholarships to outstanding Bahraini students since its establishment in 1999 by HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
