Crown Prince meets District Governor and senior delegates at Rotary International Conference

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met Mr. Khalil Al Sharif, District Governor and senior delegates participating in the District 2452 Rotary International Conference, at Gudaibiya Palace. 

During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the important role played by social organisations in supporting volunteer work. He also noted the fundamental role these organisations play in promoting and contributing to sustainable development.

His Royal Highness praised the various humanitarian and social contributions that Rotary has made through charitable programmes, which help to address issues such as illiteracy, hunger, poverty, disease control and environmental awareness. His Royal Highness also welcomed the International Conference, which is taking place in the country for the fifth time and marks the celebration of Rotary’s 50th year of service in Bahrain. 

For their part, the District Governor and senior Rotarians expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness for his patronage of the conference and his continuous support of Rotary Clubs in Bahrain.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs also attended the meeting.
