HRH Deputy King meets chairman and members of the Bahraini-Saudi joint business council
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Deputy King, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, met at the at Gudaibiya Palace today the Chairman of the Bahraini-Saudi Joint Business Council, Mr. Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Uteshan, and its members .
His Royal Highness highlighted the longstanding ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain, adding that the relationship is underpinned by the countries’ shared strategic goals and interests.
His Royal Highness went on to extend his best wishes to the Chairman and all members of the Council, wishing them success in further bolstering bilateral trade ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of improved collaboration to further bolster investment in both countries and address any obstacles affecting business opportunities.
Speaking about the depth of trade and investment relations, His Royal Highness highlighted that Saudi Arabia is an integral investment partner among GCC and Arab countries and the partnership will continue to advance sustainable growth through the development of competitive investment markets.
His Royal Highness noted the important role played by the King Fahad Causeway in facilitating movement of goods and services, and praised the efforts of both Saudi and Bahraini authorities in taking steps to prevent congestion. His Royal Highness went on to highlight the importance of the second causeway -the King Hamad Causeway, announced by the late King Abdulah bin Abdulaziz, which will further boost the economic status of both countries and contribute to establishing links with other trading nations.
His Royal Highness then emphasised the vital role the private sector plays in achieving diversified economic growth throughout the region and its development of sectors that help reinforce the economic and trade status of all GCC countries.
The Chairman of the Council expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and expressed his confidence in the Council’s ability to further enhance the role of the private sector and develop investment opportunities in both countries.
