Crown Prince meets General Counsel of the US Department of Commerce

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Supreme Commander today met with the General Counsel of the US Department of Commerce, Mr. Kelly Welsh and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to further developing its economy, including trade cooperation throughout the region and the wider world. He added that the Kingdom’s decade-long economic reform has created a robust economy that is both diversified and tailored for international investment. 

Turning to bilateral cooperation between Bahrain and the US, His Royal Highness and Mr. Kelly Welsh emphasised the importance of enhancing all levels of cooperation, and the use of trade agreements between the two countries to expand trade and economic cooperation.

His Royal Highness noted the role played by trade agreements in attracting various American companies to the Kingdom, and emphasised the importance of building on milestones in trade relations to further expand cooperation and increase foreign investment in the Kingdom.   

The General Counsel expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to sustainable economic development. He went on to emphasise the commitment of the US to further enhance trade and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Zayed bin Rahid Alzayani also attended the meeting.
