HRH Crown Prince meets former Indian president

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met at the Gudaibiya Palace former President of the Republic of India, His Excellency Mr Abubakar Zainal Abidin Abdul Kalam, as well as representatives of the Kingdom’s Indian community.

His Royal Highness emphasised that the strong ties between the Republic of India and the Kingdom of Bahrain are built upon the commitment of both countries to joint coordination and cooperation.

In this regard, His Royal Highness noted that political, economic and cultural convergence between the two countries was the foundation of the bilateral relationship, ensuring the continued development of sustainable relations.

His Royal Highness also noted the outstanding contribution of Bahrain’s Indian community to supporting the Kingdom’s development, which has strengthened cooperation in various vital sectors.

His Royal Highness then highlighted the role of shared interests and mutual communication as the cornerstones to achieving further successful relations.

His Excellency expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness and noted his appreciation for the warm welcome he had received during his visit to Bahrain, stating that this demonstrated the depth of relations between India and Bahrain and enabled future development and prosperity.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, also attended the meeting.
