Deputy King issues decree establishing Bahrain Culture and Antiquities Authority

Deputy of His Majesty The King His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, The Crown Prince, today issued decree (10) establishing the Bahrain Culture and Antiquities Authority (BCAA) as an affiliate of the Council of Ministers.

Under the decree, Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa has been appointed as president of the newly-established panel, with the prerogatives of minister. The personnel of the Culture and Antiquities Affairs shall also be transferred to the BCAA with the same ranks, grades, allowances and other allotted financial privileges.
