HRH the Crown Prince meets new US Ambassador to Bahrain

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met His Excellency Mr. William Roebuck, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Gudaibiya Palace.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the strength and importance of bilateral relations between Bahrain and the United States, and expressed his hope that the two countries will continue to further develop ties across a range of sectors.

His Royal Highness also emphasised the shared commitment of both countries to maintaining security and stability in the region and combating all forms of terrorism. This, he said, falls firmly in line with His Majesty King Hamad’s commitment to furthering coordination and cooperation with international allies to maintain peace and security in the Middle East.

His Royal Highness further highlighted the vital importance of confronting the rise of extremist ideologies and theocracies and promoting peace and tolerance across the region.

His Royal Highness went on to welcome Ambassador Roebuck to Bahrain, wishing him every success as he takes up his new post, and expressed his full support in furthering the ties between the two countries. 

His Royal Highness and the Ambassador then reviewed a number of key current affairs and issues of regional and international importance.

In response, Ambassador Roebuck expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, and welcomed His Royal Highness’ interest and support in further enhancing relations between Bahrain and the United States.
