HRH the Crown Prince condoles Saudi leaders
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today offered his condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud on the sad passing of King Abdulla bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, at Al-Yamama Palace.
His Royal Highness also extended his condolences to His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Naif Al-Saud, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
During his visit, His Royal Highness emphasised King Abdulla’s commitment to the steady development of Saudi Arabia across many sectors. His Royal Highness also expressed deep appreciation on behalf of all Bahrainis for King Abdulla’s firm commitment to lasting peace and security in the Kingdom.
His Royal Highness also highlighted the significant support King Abdulla provided to many Arab and Islamic causes and the key role he played in advancing security and stability across the GCC.
In this regard, His Royal Highness commended the late King Abdulla’s efforts towards enhancing coordination and cooperation among all GCC countries, highlighting his initiative to move towards a formal GCC Union.
His Royal Highness went on to praise the vital role King Abdulla played in overcoming regional disputes to achieve a greater level of peace and security. His Royal Highness then extended his best wishes to King Salman as he leads Saudi Arabia towards a more peaceful and prosperous future.
His Royal Highness had arrived earlier on today at Riyadh Air Base. Upon his arrival, he was received by His Royal Highness Prince Majid bin Abdulla bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the Charge d’Affaires at the Bahraini Embassy in Saudi Arabia, Abdul-Aziz Al-Eid and a number of officials. His Royal Highness is accompanied by a delegation of senior members of the Kingdom’s royal family as well as other senior Bahraini officials.
