Crown Prince meets Under-Secretary for Trade Affairs and Under-Secretary for Industrial Affairs

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister met the Ministry of Industry and Commerce’s Under-Secretary for Trade Affairs, Nader Khalil Al Moayyed, and the Under-Secretary for Industrial Affairs, Osama Mohammed Al Arrayed, today at Gudaibiya Palace.

During the meeting His Royal Highness highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s status as an attractive regional investment destination, emphasising that the application of regulations to further incentivise investment should be a priority.

His Royal Highness also highlighted the important role the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has in applying policies that support the Government’s efforts to enhance Bahrain’s status as a hub for trade and business in the region; support economic diversification to attract large and medium enterprises; and accommodate the demand for jobs among Bahrainis, allowing them to make full use of their skills and talent.

His Royal Highness went on to stress the importance of close coordination with other GCC countries and of enhancing bilateral trade links with neighboring countries as part of this wider programme.

In response, the Under-Secretaries welcomed the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness. They further welcomed His Royal Highness’s directions to drive forward the implementation of policies that boost Bahrain’s economic status in the region and enhance Bahrain’s reputation as an attractive business hub.
