Crown Prince meets new Iraqi Ambassador to Bahrain
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received the newly appointed Republic of Iraq Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE Ahmed Nayef Rasheed Saleh Al-Dulaimi at Riffa Palace.
Welcoming the Ambassador to the Kingdom, His Royal Highness emphasised the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Iraq that are built on shared culture and heritage. He then stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to further strengthen this relationship, within a framework of close co-ordination and collaboration, on matters of mutual interest.
His Royal Highness gave Bahrain’s supports to the Iraqi government’s efforts to enhance stability and noted the opportunities for the bilateral relationship across political and economic areas. His Royal Highness then went on to wish the Ambassador success in his new role, highlighting the integral role he will play in enhanced ties.
Discussions then continued on pressing matters in regional and international affairs, as well as other issues of joint interest.
In response, the Ambassador expressed his pleasure in meeting His Royal Highness. He praised the efforts to further enhance ties between Bahrain and Iraq, and confirmed his commitment to the development of relations while he is in post.
