Statement by Court of Crown Prince regarding Daily Telegraph article

The following statement was issued today by The Court of The Crown Prince of Bahrain in response to a published “interview” in today’s UK Daily Telegraph:

His Royal Highness The Crown Prince of Bahrain has not undertaken an interview with the Daily Telegraph on an “exclusive” or any other basis. A Telegraph correspondent was part of a wider delegation of individuals who met with HRH The Crown Prince yesterday on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue.

His Royal Highness made comments that specifically related to the dangers present in the Arab world, and its potential spill over effects internationally, due to deepening radical extremism in the region and, especially, concerns over the position of transitioning states due to perceptions of western foreign policy.

The Court of The Crown Prince therefore rejects the misleading comments ascribed to The Crown Prince in the article on this basis, in the context they have been presented.
