Crown Prince meets Qatari Foreign Minister

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah the sidelines of the Manana Dialogue at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Manama.

His Royal Highness welcomed Minister Al-Attiyah and remarked on the longstanding and strategic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Qatar.  He noted that the minister’s participation served to underscore the commitment of GCC nations to engage and contribute to debate and policy making that serves to underpin the security and stability of the region.

His Royal Highness then conveyed his greeting to the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and the people of Qatar, wishing them all continued prosperity.

His Royal Highness went on to discuss pressing issues in the region including matters on the agenda of the Manama Dialogue that relate to security and stability in the Middle East and beyond.

In response, Minister Al-Attiyah stated that it was an honour to attend the Manama Dialogue and praised Bahrain’s commitment to hosting such an important forum.
