Crown Prince meets Egyptian Foreign Minister

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nabil Fahmy in the sidelines of the Manana Dialogue at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Manama.

His Royal Highness restated the Kingdom of Bahrain’s committed support to the Arab Republic of Egypt and commended the positive steps it is taking toward enhanced stability and meeting the aspirations of the Egyptian people.  He noted the enduringly pivotal role Egypt has in the Arab world.

His Royal Highness then stated that he looked forward to further developing the bilateral relationship with Egypt on areas of common interest and benefit.

The discussion continued with an examination of recent developments in the region and further afield pertinent to the Manama Dialogue.

In response, Minister Fahmy expressed his gratitude for meeting His Royal Highness and gave his appreciation to Bahrain for its support and for the constructive positions it has taken on important issues in Arab affairs.
