HRH Crown Prince meets French Foreign Ministry Director for North Africa and Middle East

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister met with the Director of the North Africa and Middle East Department at the French Foreign Ministry, Mr Jean Francois Girault at Ghudaibiya Palace today.

His Royal Highness highlighted the value of France’s support for the process of reform underway in Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad. Regarding bilateral relations, His Royal Highness welcomed the clear positive progress that had been made in further enhancing cooperation and coordination across a variety of sectors through the Joint Bahrain-French Cooperation Committee, noting that it was a key outcome from one of His Majesty the King’s recent visits to France.

Developments in the Arab World and internationally were then discussed, with His Royal Highness particularly noting the supportive French role in maintaining regional security and stability. In response, Mr Girault expressed his pleasure at meeting His Royal Highness and praised the high level of Bahraini-French cooperation across several key areas. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Khalifa.
