Crown Prince receives newly appointed Director General for Urban Planning

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, received at Gudaibiya Palace today the newly appointed Director General for Urban Planning at the Ministry of Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs, Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed bin Hamad Al Khalifa .

His Royal Highness commended the efficiency and capabilities of Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, wishing him success in his new role, which will carry the rank of Ministry Under-secretary. His Royal Highness underlined the importance of urban planning and its contribution to maintaining the urban identity of the Kingdom and its culture.  

He noted the need to embrace current and future requirements for urban expansion and infrastructure in line with the government programme to serve sustainable development goals. His Royal Highness said he took pride in the efforts of Bahrainis. He praised their expertise in different sectors and their initiative in demonstrating responsibility to continue the process of growth and development of the Kingdom. In response, Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa expressed his delight at meeting His Royal Highness and for his advice regarding his duties.
