HRH Crown Prince receives Indian Minister of State for External Affairs

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier received the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, Shri E. Ahamed, today at Riffa Palace in the presence of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Ghanim bin Fadhl Al-Buainain.

His Royal Highness said that Bahrain is looking forward to strengthening its economic and trade ties with India as bilateral cooperation grows, recognising India’s status as a prominent and leading economic power in Asia and the world. His Royal Highness emphasised his full support to enhanced Bahraini-Indian relations at the political, economic, and cultural levels.

His Royal Highness further noted that bilateral ties have been boosted and consolidated in light of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad and the recent exchange of visits, which reflect the two countries’ shared desire to bolster and expand their joint cooperation.

His Royal Highness went to praise the role of the Indian community in Bahrain in contributing to the development of the kingdom in all fields. His Royal Highness also discussed with Minister Ahamed ways of bolstering bilateral relations in all fields, and reviewed with him a number of regional and global developments.

For his part, Shri E. Ahamed praised the high level of Bahraini-Indian relations and thanked  the directives of the two countries’ leadership to constantly strengthen them at all levels. The Minister also praised the role played by HRH Crown Prince in enhancing bilateral relations and noted that his country is looking forward to boosting its cooperation with the Kingdom.
