Crown Prince receives German ambassador

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received the German Ambassador to Bahrain, Mrs. Sabine Tauffman, at Riffa Palace. His Royal Highness passed on his congratulations to German Chancellor Angela Merkel on her victory in the German elections, commending her active involvement in European and international issues and her firm belief in promoting opportunities for peace and stability in the Middle East.

His Royal Highness wished her all success in meeting the aspirations of the people of Germany.His Royal Highness also underlined Bahrain’s desire to establish further cooperation with Germany across a variety of sectors.His Royal Highness also received an invitation from the ambassador to attend the next Munich Security Conference, and the meeting went on to review the importance of international forums and conferences to exchanging expertise and ideas.For her part, the ambassador thanked His Royal Highness for his support in enhancing the joint cooperation framework between Bahrain and Germany.
