Crown Prince receives outgoing Qatari Ambassador

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister met at Riffa Palace today with outgoing Qatari Ambassador to Bahrain Shaikh Abdullah bin Thamer Al Thani. In discussion with Ambassador Sheikh Abdullah, who has been the longest serving ambassador in Bahrain, the ‘dean of the diplomatic corps’, His Royal Highness highlighted the strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Qatar that receive the full support of the leadership of both nations. 

Looking ahead, His Royal Highness expressed optimism for the strengthening of such co-operation through the bonds established and within the broader framework of the GCC.His Royal Highness commended the dedicated performance of Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah during his time in Bahrain, which he noted had played an integral part in the positive relations between the two countries.

He wished the ambassador every success in his upcoming assignments.His Royal Highness then conveyed his regards to the Amir of Qatar, His Highness Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Khalifa, wishing further progress and prosperity to Qatar and its people.In response, Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah thanked His Royal Highness for the support he had given to relations between Bahrain and Qatar.  He also expressed his appreciation for the cooperation he received from all state bodies during his diplomatic assignment, wishing Bahrain further progress and development under its leadership.
