Deputy King Pays Visit to HRH Premier
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy of His Majesty the King and Crown Prince, today paid a visit to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. The two leaders held a meeting at the Gudaibiya Palace, in which they reviewed a number of local, regional and global issues.
Their Royal Highnesses asserted that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to the People’s Republic of China had added political and economic dimensions to the Bahraini-Chinese relations and joint cooperation.They pointed out that the importance given to HM the King’s historic visit by a great country, such as China, reflects the prestigious position enjoyed by the Kingdom of Bahrain at the international arena, and testifies to the success of its efforts to build up stronger relations with various countries.
On the economic field, the two princes reviewed ways of increasing the kingdom’s investment attraction potentials requiring continuous and periodic review of the adopted procedures for the sake of evaluating them and ensuring they are flexible, easy and meet the needs of investors and investing companies.
In this regard, the Deputy King and HRH Premier directed to consider adopting new complexity-free mechanisms and procedures that encourage companies to launch their operations in Bahrain, calling for the need to take advantage of the experiences of developed countries with investment environments similar to that of Bahrain.
They also stressed the importance of increasing incentives, updating the legislations and developing infrastructure in order to attract investments and consolidate the kingdom’s position as a favourable destination for investments seeking success.
Concerning international issues, the two princes reviewed the latest regional and global issues, emphasising that the successive developments in both the regional and international arenas require more complementarity among Gulf Cooperation Council countries.The challenges posing a threat to the region cannot be faced only in a collective way so as to reduce their effects on the GCC countries and their peoples.
