Deputy King Meets US Ambassador

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy of His Majesty the King and Crown Prince, met at Riffa Palace today the US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Thomas Krajeski.  During the meeting, His Royal Highness spoke of the determination of the Kingdom of Bahrain to progress the reforms led by His Majesty the King within the framework of the National Action Charter, in order to advance the development of the Kingdom and serve the interests of both the country and its people.

His Royal Highness stated that a holistic approach to the current situation was required to fully utilise the opportunities and potential for positive outcomes, which are required to meet the shared aspirations of the people of Bahrain. His Royal Highness also said Bahrain appreciated the support for the steps it has already taken towards further progress and noted the support of the US in this regard.

For his part, the US Ambassador stated that the US valued its strong relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain and was keen on further developing the joint cooperation and coordination across various disciplines. The meeting also reviewed regional and international developments and the importance of careful coordination in order to maintain security and stability.
