HRH Crown Prince Meets with President and Members of Bahrain Society of Engineers

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister met today with the president and members of Bahrain Society of Engineers.

His Royal Highness emphasised the role played by qualified Bahrainis in the nation’s development, in particular the contributions of experienced specialized professionals in developing and implementing the many development plans in the Kingdom, all of which positively reflect on the society and prosperity of our Bahrain. His Royal Highness congratulated the president and members of Bahrain Society of Engineers, established in 1972, on celebrating the group’s 40th anniversary as the first professional volunteer society in Bahrain.

His Royal Highness praised Bahraini talents in engineering who have played a distinguished role in the urban revival of Bahrain, in addition to designing plans and programmes that meet the country’s ambitions of achieving comprehensive development across the Kingdom. His Royal Highness also emphasised the role of the Bahrain Society of Engineers in supporting and improving the skills of engineers, through organising specialised workshops and holding international conferences. His Royal Highness went on to wish the Society’s members all success in enriching Bahrainis’ talents in these fields and in contributing to the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom.

For his part, the president of the Society, Mr. Abdul Majeed Al-Qassab thanked His Royal Highness on behalf of all the members for the opportunity to share the Society’s achievements and future plans. He further praised His Royal Highness’ continuous encouragement that has motivated the members toward further success and contributing to the comprehensive development of Bahrain.Mr Al-Qassab also presented HRH with a memorial gift and a book on the occasion of celebrating the Society’s 40th anniversary.
