HRH Crown Prince Receives Outgoing GIC CEO

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander today received the outgoing CEO of Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC), Mr Hesham Abdul Razaq Al Razouqi. In discussions, HRH Crown Prince emphasised the importance of GCC co-operation in major cross-border industrial projects as part of wider efforts to boost economic integration across the region. In this regard, HRH Crown Prince recognised the value of the range of projects that GIC is engaged in, noting that is a vital player in the GCC industrial sector.

In underlining the importance of GIC’s work, HRH Crown Prince praised Mr Al Razouqi strong leadership of the company during his 11 years as CEO and wished him luck for the future following his departure at the end of this year.In response, Mr Al Razouqi spoke of GIC’s pride in its success and the expansion it has experienced so far.

He also highlighted and praised the advantages the Bahrain offers to investors, which have significantly helped assist international companies working with GIC on major projects in the Kingdom. Looking to the future, Mr Al Razouqi spoke confidently about GIC’s future expansion plans in Bahrain and in the rest of the Gulf.The meeting was attended by Central Bank of Bahrain Governor, Mr Rasheed Mohammed Al Miraaj; Advisor for Political and Economic Affairs at the Court of the Crown Prince, Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, and President of the Court of the Crown Prince Shaikh Khalifa bin Duaij Al Khalifa.
