HRH Crown Prince Receives AFC President

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received at Riffa Palace Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and member of the FIFA Executive Committee representing Asia.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince congratulated Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim on his election to both posts, President of the AFC and member of the FIFA Executive Committee, and wished him success in enhancing the status of Asian football, for which he has gained the support of many AFC member states. His Royal Highness said this achievement, and the representation of Bahrain in this distinguished sporting body, highlights the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for sport in Bahrain. Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim thanked His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for his support and warm greetings, and expressed his hope that he would ably represent Bahrain well and meet the expectations of the other AFC member states.
