Deputy King Receives GCC Staff Chiefs

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Deputy King, Crown Prince met today in Riffa Palace with the chiefs of staff of GCC countries, their  assistants, the Assistant Secretary General for Military Affairs of the GCC and Commander of the Peninsula Shield on the occasion of the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Supreme Military Committee of Heads of Staff of the GCC.

His Royal Highness underlined the importance of developing military cooperation between GCC countries to support mutual security and stability, alongside maintaining their accomplishments and achieving greater development and growth across all sectors. His Royal Highness noted that following the directions of the leadership of the GCC to develop joint forces will ensure the GCC remains on its planned path, which holds the region’s security and stability above all. 

His Royal Highness also praised the level of military and security cooperation and coordination between GCC countries. His Royal Highness went on to emphasize Bahrain’s support for all efforts that aim to strengthen the relations between GCC countries and their greater integration, based on the existing connections between the countries and their common visions and goals.His Royal Highness wished the participants all success in the meeting.

For their part, the participants thanked His Royal Highness and conveyed their appreciation of his comments, which reflect Bahrain’s strong support for the GCC.
