Deputy King meets with General Lloyd J. Austin in Riffa

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa Deputy King and Crown Prince met General Lloyd J. Austin, Commander at U.S. Central Command, today at Riffa Palace.

His Royal Highness welcomed General Austin and the accompanying delegation, highlighting the role of the USA in maintaining security and stability in the region. His Royal Highness went on to congratulate General Austin on his new assignment and wished him all success. The meeting also discussed the friendship and cooperation between Bahrain and the USA across several sectors, in particular military and defence coordination, in addition to topics of common interest. General Austin praised the cooperation between both countries and his dedication to supporting the interests of the US and Bahrain.
