Crown Prince Congratulates Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa on his Election to Presidency of Asian Football Confederation

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister sent a cable to Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa congratulating him on being elected President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and a member of the FIFA Executive Committee.

His Royal Highness described Shaikh Salman’s election as a national achievement that builds on others across various fields, in particular sport and youth, both of which Shaikh Salman has significantly contributed to, both locally and internationally. His Royal Highness also conveyed his confidence in Shaikh Salman’s ability to deliver in both posts and make an invaluable contribution to international football.
