HRH Crown Prince Meets Chinese Envoy
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister met His Excellency Mr. Wu Sike, China’s Special Envoy to the Middle East, today at Gudaibiya Palace.
In the meeting, His Royal Highness expressed his keen interest in boosting political, economic and diplomatic relations between Bahrain and ChinaHis Royal Highness emphasized Bahrain’s appreciation of China’s values and approach to development that have played a significant role in shaping China’s prosperity and future. His Royal Highness also highlighted China’s important role in maintaining world stability.
On Bahrain, His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of political engagement through the National Consensus Dialogue and expressed his absolute rejection of violence in any form. In return, the Ambassador thanked His Royal Highness for the opportunity to meet and also emphasized the importance of boosting relations between both countries, especially in commerce and trade.
The Ambassador also praised the services provided by the Bahraini Government to support Chinese investments in the Kingdom.The Ambassador went on to highlight that Chinese policy rejects foreign interference in countries’ domestic issues, going on to praise Bahrain’s National Dialogue, which he thought was a constructive initiative undertaken by the leadership that he hoped would bring positive results.
