HRH Crown Prince Receives Japanese Ambassador
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy of His Majesty the King, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met H.E. Shigeki Sumi, Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Gudaibiya Palace.
His Royal Highness said the strong bilateral relations between the two countries contributed greatly to the success of his recent visit to Japan. A visit which, he added, he held in very high importance, and which produced constructive and rewarding outcomes which will have a positive impact on establishing broader areas for joint cooperation and coordination. His Royal Highness also noted the determination on behalf of the Japanese to follow up on and implement the results of the visit, and to maximise the potential of the outcomes.
His Royal Highness expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality he received from the imperial family, the government and the people of Japan. He added that the visit provided for a significantly better understanding of the depth and sophistication of Japanese civilization and culture, which combined with the developmental and technological advances in Japan, provide for the unique, contemporary identity for which Japan is known today.
H.E. Shigeki Sumi said the visit by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to Japan was very well received, building upon the significant exchange of visits and communication between the two countries, noting in particular the visit of His Majesty King Hamad last year.
