HRH Crown Prince Receives Former Gulf Air CEO

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, received at Al Riffa Palace today, in the presence of his son Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the former Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Air Samer Al Majali. During the audience, HRH Crown Prince thanked Al Majali and commended the efforts he exerted and the achievements of Gulf Air during his tenure, wishing him further success.HRH Crown Prince highlighted the importance of backing Gulf Air as a national carrier which has consolidated the air transport services in the region and attracted national cadres.

On his part, Samer Al Majali expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Crown Prince for his support to him and constant desire to develop Gulf Air and put back on the track of competitiveness.He also praised the dedication of Gulf Air’s affiliates whose efforts, he said, helped improve its services and maintain its prestigious position.He also said that after months of negotiations with aircraft manufacturers, he managed, along with his administrative staff, to reduce Gulf Air’s future financial commitments by about $ 2.5 billion.Head of HRH Crown Prince’s Court Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa was also present.
