Crown Prince discusses bilateral relations with Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met with Tan Sri Muhyiddin Hj. Mohd Yassin, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, where they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries along with recent regional and international events.
His Royal Highness noted the country’s prominence within Asia, with its vital role in boosting investments and economic projects, and praised Malaysia’s success in the economic sector in particular, along with its distinguished position in the Islamic finance market. With regards to bilateral relations, His Royal Highness highlighted the strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Malaysia, as reflected by the continued interest towards greater cooperation in the economic and political sectors.
Specifically, His Royal Highness expressed the Kingdom’s interest in boosting relations across the economic, industrial and tourism sectors. The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed His Royal Highness’ visit to Malaysia, and also noted the strong relations between the two countries. The Deputy Prime Minister went on to highlight the importance of such visits in boosting bilateral ties.
