HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier attends dinner with Indian businessmen

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister yesterday evening attended a dinner hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board in Kerala, India also attended by the business delegation along with members of the Indian community in Bahrain from Kerala.

Speaking before the delegation, His Royal Highness praised the role of the Indian community in Bahrain and its role in boosting the country’s economy, with particular emphasis on support from the people of Kerala, who are considered a role model.His Royal Highness noted that India has been a business partner to the Kingdom of Bahrain for many years, and is considered one of the oldest between two nations, reminiscing that the Indian currency was widely used in Bahrain until 1965, during the boom of the pearl industry and before the discovery of oil.His Royal Highness concluded by thanking the people of Kerala for their contribution to Bahraini society, with particular thanks to those currently doing business with the Kingdom.
