HRH Crown Prince Receives Eastern Province Governor

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister received the Governor of the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud today at Sakheer Palace.

His Royal Highness spoke of the strong relations between the Kingdoms of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia noting the long history that the two countries and its people share, which are a unique source of pride.Welcoming the visit of the Eastern Province Governor to Bahrain, His Royal Highness recalled the many historic visits between the leaderships of the two countries over generations and how these illustrated a continual pattern of co-operation and collaboration.

His Royal Highness emphasized that value of continued support by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bahrain that has enabled it to meet any challenges that have arisen. He noted that these ties, along with close relations with the rest of the GCC, were a guarantee of security and stability for the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty the King.His Royal Highness also commended the role of Saudi Arabia in enhancing integration and collective action in the GCC and in addressing pressing issues across the Arab and Muslim world. His Royal Highness gave his sincere regards to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister.

The Governor of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud congratulated His Royal Highness the Crown Prince on his appointment, by royal decree, as First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He spoke highly of the close bilateral ties between the two countries and how Saudi Arabia looked forward to achieving further co-operation. The meeting was also attended by His Royal Highness’s son, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.

Following the meeting His Royal Highness hosted a luncheon in honour of the Governor of the Eastern Province and his accompanying delegation.
