Crown Prince receives head of National Bank of Kuwait

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, met the Group CEO of the National Bank of Kuwait, Mr Ibrahim Shukri Dabdoub, today.

In the meeting, also attended by the Central Bank of Bahrain Governor, Mr Rasheed al Miraaj, His Royal Highness commended Mr Dabdoub on his leadership of the bank; recognising the successful performance of NBK over many years and noting its contribution to the banking and financial sector in the Kingdom.His Royal Highness expressed Bahrain’s continued commitment to an open and transparent regulatory framework that can assist banks like NBK in conducting operations in the Kingdom and undertaking business effectively and profitably.

Mr Dabdoub, who is also attending the Euromoney Bahrain Conference at the Ritz Carlton, recognised the benefits offered to banking and financial institutions in Bahrain and expressed his hope that Bahrain’s status as a financial hub continues to be nurtured and developed.His Royal Highness and Mr Dabdoub also discussed the changes in the global economy and the potential impacts of political, demographic and social factors on the long term economic outlook.
