HRH Crown Prince Receives NIHR’s Board of Commissioners

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, has highlighted the importance of consolidating human rights so as to upgrade their position and achieve the aspired results.

This came as he received at Al Riffa Palace today the members of the Board of Commissioners at the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), led by Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul.HRH Crown Prince urged NIHR’s commissioners to be patient in their quest for right and adherence to values, as the best way to achieve NIHR’s goals based on legislations, laws and independent human rights work.

He asserted that opinions should be supported by logic and reason, stressing the need to embrace all sides under the umbrella of the nation, away from parochial polarisations that do not serve Bahrain’s present and future interests.He wished them every success in performing their duties.

On their part, members of the Board of NIHR’s Commissioners the sound directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH Crown Prince will help them upgrade the work of the NIHR so as to re-assert Bahrain’s distinguished human rights position, affirming that NIHR, as an independent establishment, has the capacity to develop its work and foster human rights awareness in the kingdom.
