HRH Crown Prince Receives ADFD Acting Director-General
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander and His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company today met Mohammed Saif Al-Suwaidi, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.
His Royal Highness said that the Kingdom of Bahrain valued the continued collaboration and cohesion of the GCC and in this context welcomed the signing of the MoU between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates for a development grant as part of the Gulf Development Programme.His Royal Highness noted the continued support from the United Arab Emirates towards the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of UAE President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, which reinforces the strong historical links between the two countries and the cooperation amongst all the Arabian Gulf states.
He added that the strong bonds between the leaderships the Gulf countries, and the people, will remain a source of pride and strength for Bahrain.His Royal Highness sent his regards to the president of the UAE, His Highness General Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and His Highness Shaikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al-Nahyan the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.
General Mohammed Al-Sowaidi conveyed the regards of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Chairman of the Fund, adding that the UAE had given special importance to the MoU signed today. He said it signified the close ties between the leadership and the people of the two countries, and the commitment of the UAE to further enhancing this cooperation. He further noted the successes of the projects financed by the fund that have been carried out in Bahrain to date.
