HRH Crown Prince Meets Advisor to UK Ministry of Defence

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, today met Lieutenant General Simon Mayall, Defence Senior Adviser for the Middle East to the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence.

A number of issues of mutual interest, particularly in the areas of defence and security, were discussed alongside the ongoing co-operation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom in these areas. The two countries’ joint keenness to maintain stability in the region and avert all forms of threat and dispute was also emphasised.On his part, Lt. Gen. Mayall commended the positive steps taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain towards continuing reform and progress.

The meeting was attended by the Political and Economic Adviser at HRH Crown Prince’s Court Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Director of the Deputy Supreme Commander’s Office Major-General Muneer Ahmed Al Subaei and the British Ambassador Mr Iain Lindsay.
