Deputy King receives NFAAC President

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Deputy of His Majesty the King and Crown Prince, described activating the principle of accountability and responsibility in public institutions and utilizing national resources in an optimum way to ensure a better life for all citizens and guarantee the future of the posterity, in line with the royal directives, as a sublime goal embodied by the annual report of the National Financial and Administrative Audit Court (NFAAC).

HRH was speaking at a meeting at Riffa Palace today with the court’s President Hassan bin Khalifa Al Jalahma who presented him with the annual report 2011-2012.HRH commended high transparency and independence in compiling the report, stressing that commitment to boosting the culture of responsibility in protecting public money and optimizing the use of available resources is crucial to achieving sustainable economic development.

HRH praised the court’s dedicated efforts in performing its duties appropriately to protect public money and prevent all forms of corruption and irregularities. He also lauded the court’s compliance with the fixed deadline to submit its annual report, thus, winning public confidence.HRH said those accurate reports are a channel to pass legislations pertaining to accountability according to legal mechanisms defining that.

HRH underlined the importance of the reports in remedying shortcomings and improving performance.On his part, Mr. Al Jalahma expressed appreciation of the support given to NFAAC to help it achieve its objectives, commending highly the directives and valuable remarks of HRH Prince Salman.The meeting was attended by Crown Prince Court Head Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa.
