HRH Crown Prince receives participants in Arab Youth Conference

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, stressed the importance of the youths’ views and contribution to shaping a better future in this new phase undergone by the Arab World.

He was speaking at a meeting at Riffa Palace today with participants in the Arab Youth Conference, in the presence of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.He stressed the importance of openness on different views in building the nation, emphasizing HM the King’s directives in this respect.”The challenges facing the Arab World are enormous, mainly those pertaining to creating job opportunities for the Arab youth,” HRH the Crown Prince said underlining the role of the Arab youth in confronting those challenges by contributing to working out sustainable and competitive economic models.

HRH urged youngsters to hold on to their inherent Arab values from which they derive strength by standing united and accepting new ideas to achieve progress and the aspirations of the Arab peoples.HRH the Crown Prince spotlighted cultural issues and their significance in achieving comprehensive growth in the Arab World by encouraging new publications of Arab books, describing them as an added value in all facets of life. He also stressed the importance of reading for the Arab youth so as to create an educated and conscious generation that contributes positively in shaping a better future for all.

HRH emphasized the importance of empowering women and their contribution to economic development.He also pointed out the need for the Arab youth to hold on to inherent Islamic and Arab values of co-existence, unity and tolerance, stressing the importance of ostracizing all forms of sectarianism.HRH the Crown Prince lauded Shaikh Nasser’s patronage of the conference hosted by Bahrain, praising the role of the General Organisation of Youth and Sports in organizing it.
