HRH Crown Prince receives Spanish Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, received at Riffa Palace today Spanish Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Gonzalo De Benito, in the presence of Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.

HRH the Crown Prince hailed boosting economic cooperation between Bahrain and Spain in light of the promising opportunities offered by both countries mainly in the commercial and industrial fields.HRH the Crown Prince said that Bahrain appreciates bilateral cooperation in various fields, which is part of the solid ties of friendship binding the two countries and the efforts of economic and political rapprochement between Spain and the GCC countries.

HRH the Crown Prince underlined the importance of holding bilateral meetings and exchanging visits between businessmen from the private sector in both countries which will play a vital role in increasing the volume of trade exchange and joint ventures.HRH the Crown Prince received greetings from His Majesty King Juan Carlos of Spain, praising the support provided by Spain and other brotherly and friendly countries during the last period to push forward with the development process.

On his part, the Spanish minister lauded the steps undertaken by Bahrain to achieve further reform, wishing the Kingdom more progress, security and stability.The meeting was attended by Advisor for Economic and Political Affairs at the Crown Prince’s Court Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Court Chief Shaikh Khalifa bin Duaij Al Khalifa and the Non-Resident Spanish Ambassador to Bahrain.
