HRH Crown Prince receives Palestinian delegation

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, stressed today reform as a constant approach of Bahrain’s democratic system, anchored by HM the King, and an extension of the principle of consultation and communication known and embraced by the Bahraini society.

Speaking at a meeting today with Palestinian Legislative Council Acting Speaker Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Bahar and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Representatives Council Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani, HRH the Crown Prince underlined the kingdom’s unflinching support for the Palestinian issue, describing it as pivotal.

He said this support stems from a conviction of the Palestinian People’s inalienable right to build their nation and obtain their legitimate civil rights.

HRH the Crown Prince stressed the need to hold on to the Islamic precepts by respecting the other, shunning all forms of social divide and confronting attempts to destroy unity and promote the culture of violence.He said: “We are a people who doesn’t accept any confrontation among members of the one-family society that places the national interest above anything else.

“Dr. Bahar lauded Bahrain’s unwavering stance towards the Palestinian issue as well as HM the King’s philanthropic initiatives benefiting the Palestinian people.He said: “the kingdom’s constant stance towards the Palestinian cause reflects strong conviction of the Palestinian people’s right to security, stability and an independent state.

“The meeting was attended by member of the Representatives Council and Head of the Committee for the Support of the Palestinian People Ali Ahmed Abdulrahman and HRH the Crown Prince’s Advisor for Political and Economic Affairs Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa.
