HRH Crown Prince attends part of Basic Liaison Drill 2012

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, attended part of the Joint Basic Liaison Drill 2012 implemented by the Bahraini Royal Air Force with participation of brotherly GCC Air Forces and a number of friendly Air Forces.

Upon arrival at the Isa Airbase, HRH the Crown Prince was received by BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain Royal Air Force commander Brigadier-General Pilot Shaikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, director of the drill, a number of senior BDF officers and the heads of participating delegations and Bahrain Royal Air Force officers.HRH the Crown Prince was briefed on the drill’s objectives and its various stages as well as about the command-and-control regimen used during air operations.

HRH the Crown Prince, accompanied by the BDF Commander-in-Chief, inspected a number of participating air force squadrons and viewed part of the operations included in the joint air force exercise.

HRH the Crown Prince expressed his pride towards the effective participation of GCC brethren, citing their topnotch skills which reflect their theoretic and practical field capabilities and commended their genuine fraternal feelings towards the All-GCC motherland whose gains they defend and praised the BDF personnel’s proficiency, capabilities, responsibility towards their beloved country and lauded their manifest efficiency, capabilities and spirit of cooperation and coordination proven throughout the stages of this drill.

HRH the Crown Prince emphasized that joint GCC military cooperation proceeds in firm strides reliant upon specific pragmatic methodology, pointing out that this drill comes under plans aimed at boosting military cooperation and integrating and developing coordination according to the concept of mutual contribution in defending sovereignty, stability and interests.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander praised the participating friendly forces and commended their firm spirit and determination to carry out their assigned duties both efficiently and effectively describing them as advanced, capable and modern air forces, thanking all fraternal and friendly countries for their participation in the joint air forces drill and wishing them success and good luck.The drill was also attended by HRH the Crown Prince’s court chief Shaikh Khalifa bin Duaij Al Khalifa.
