HRH Crown Prince Patronises Endurance Race

Manama-Apr6(BNA)Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, the Endurance race on HRH’s Cup for a distance of 120 KM was held at Bahrain Endurance village in 5 phases, with the participation of the President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and head of Bahrain Olympic Committee HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, and also in the presence of the deputy president of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, head of Bahrain Equestrian and Endurance Federation, Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.

 HRH the crown prince gave a signal for the 2ns night race of this season with the participation of riders from Bahrain and the GCC countries. HH Shaikh Nasser valued the support of HRH the crown Prince for Bahrain endurance sport, adding that such support has contributed in developing such sport in the kingdom over the years to reach forefront positions internationally.

Shaikh Nasser added that the patronage of HRH the Crown prince for the race reflects his keen desire to support youth and sport in the kingdom and reflects the stance of the leadership behind the sport personnel and their support for elevating sport in the kingdom. Shaikh Nasser highlighted the strong competition witnessed in the first phase, adding that participating riders have made good preparation for such championship and stressing stables’ hope to win the title.

Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad for his part welcomed the riders participating in the championship, and expressed his thanks and recognition for HRH the Crown prince for supporting the championship, which he said contributes in the success of the endurance races. Shaikh Khalid went on to say that the participation of Bahraini riders in this championship affirms the keen desire of everyone to participate in the championship and secure forefront places in the race. He added that the competition is strong due to the preparedness of participants form the various stables who are looking forward to winning the title.

Such preparation he said comes after organizing HM the race on King Endurance Cup. Shaikh Khaled wished all riders every success during the race, lauding the fine efforts exerted by the organizing committees and voicing happiness at the competence of Bahraini Youth in organizing local and international championships. The winners are expected to be crowned early tomorrow morning.
