HRH CP Receives First Russian Deputy Prime Minister

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander today received the First Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov currently visiting Bahrain as part of Russia’s participation in the Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS 2012).

 HRH the Crown Prince lauded bilateral relations existing between the two countries which have taken a more positive step since His Majest the King’s visit to Moscow. He also discussed areas of future cooperation between the two countries, adding that building on the shared values that connect cultures is necessary towards development.

HRH the Crown Prince also discussed Bahrain’s vision and its determination to continue HM the King’s reforms, noting that the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) report, and HM the King’s speech pn constitutional changes has set a path for the next phase with regard to national work.Zubkov confirmed Russia’s support  for all reforms being made by HM the King.

He also expressed the Russian government’s determination to achieve all that will boost the friendship between the two nations. He also extended an invitation to HRH the Crown Prince to visit Russia. The Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, the CE of the Economic Development Board (EDB) Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa and Head of the Crown Prince’s Court Shaikh Khalifa bin Duaij Al-Khalifa attended the meeting.
