HRH the Crown Prince receives GCC Higher Education Ministers
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme, emphasized the need to invest and focus on education which is an essential cornerstone for development and progress and explained that advanced nations have built their renaissance on the power of knowledge and ideas, and accentuated that the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain focuses on the education sector and raising the standard of its output.
His Royal Highness received in Riffa Palace today GCC Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research participating in the 15th GCC Education Conference hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was attended by Minister of Education Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Noaimi.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was updated on the agenda of the 15th GCC Education Ministers meeting and its deliberations regarding the developing of higher education standards in the Arabian Gulf, citing the significance of vigorous integrated efforts in the GCC region in order to boost higher education and scientific research and optimal usage of regional and international expertise to achieve goals.
On the other hand, the GCC higher education ministers expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain for hosting the 15th GCC higher education ministers meeting, and praised the accomplishments made by Bahrain in education and boosting its citizens capabilities.
The GCC Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research also thanked His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, for his constant support and assistance to education and scientific research and for his encouragement to education in the Kingdom of Bahrain and other GCC countries.
The meeting was attended by HRH’s court chief Shaikh Khalifa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, the Arabian Gulf University chancellor Dr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Awhali, GCC Education office director-general Dr. Ali Abdulkhaliq Al-Qurani, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Higher Education Council secretary-general Dr. Riyadh Hamzah and Higher Education Ministry’s assistant secretary-general for appraisal and accreditation Dr. Muna Al-Balooshi.
