HRH the Crown Prince receives newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Bahrain

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today received His Excellency Mr. Kiyoshi Asako, the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Riffa Palace.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the long-standing relations between Japan and Bahrain, noting that visits to Japan by His Majesty the King in 2012 and His Royal Highness last year continued to further expand bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

In this regard, His Royal Highness emphasised that the growing partnerships between GCC and East Asian countries will continue to support shared political and economic goals

His Royal Highness went on to extend his best wishes to Ambassador Asako as he undertakes his new role and expressed hope that the two countries would see a further growth in relations across many sectors throughout his time in the Kingdom.

Ambassador Asako expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and affirmed his commitment to further bolstering ties between Japan and Bahrain.
