Crown Prince meets UAE’s Minister of State & Minister of Energy
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met with the Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Federal Cabinet, Mubadala’s Chief Executive Officer for energy and Chairman of Masdar, His Excellency Dr. Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Jaber, and Minister of Energy, His Excellency Mr. Suhail Al Mazrouei at Gudaibiya Palace.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness stressed the importance of increasing joint GCC coordination and cooperation within the field of energy. He further highlighted the importance of the creation of sustainable and alternative sources within this field, in order to further the process of resource diversification and innovation, which will enhance economic development.
His Royal Highness then noted the strength of ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE which he said have been achieved through deep cooperation and coordination across a variety of fields under the GCC framework. His Royal Highness further highlighted the UAE’s contribution of expertise, investments and modernisation in the global energy sector.
The meeting also covered current cooperative ties between the UAE and Bahrain, and ways to further enhance and develop relations between the two countries.
In response, His Excellency Dr. Sultan Al Jaber expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, and highlighted the UAE’s keenness in further strengthening bilateral ties.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa, and Deputy Prime Minister His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
