Deputy King receives the UK’s Ambassador to Bahrain
Deputy King His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa today met with the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Iain Lindsey, at Riffa Palace.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness and Ambassador Lindsey discussed recent regional developments and reviewed the longstanding and historic relations between the UK and Bahrain which are firmly built upon shared strategic goals of long-term stability and mutual respect.
In this regard, His Royal Highness emphasised the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to further strengthening all levels of cooperation between the two countries.
His Royal Highness went on to highlight that Bahrain’s participation in a recent series of coalition airstrikes targeting militant groups demonstrates its commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at stemming the tide of terrorist groups active in the region.
His Royal Highness further added that the upcoming high-level conference in Manama designed to identify means to combat the funding of terrorism organisations, represents Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to support collective efforts to counter all forms of terrorism and violent extremism.
During the meeting, Ambassador Lindsey highlighted the United Kingdom’s commitment to further developing cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
