Crown Prince receives the Japanese Ambassador
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, met today at Riffa Palace with His Excellency Mr. Shigeki Sumi, the Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, to mark the end of his service in the Kingdom.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness and the Ambassador discussed the deep friendship binding Japan and Bahrain, which has been nurtured through regular high-level visits and continuous cooperation.
His Royal Highness praised the outstanding efforts by the Ambassador and the Japanese Embassy during his tenure, which have resulted in the steady growth of relations between the two countries. He also expressed the Kingdom’s desire to further develop ties between Bahrain and Japan in various fields, including the economic, financial and cultural sectors.
In response, the Ambassador lauded the strength of ties between Bahrain and Japan. He also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, and conveyed Japan’s appreciation of His Highness’s keenness to further develop bilateral relations.
The meeting was also attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
