Crown Prince meets former Secretary-General of the Arab League
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, met today at Riffa Palace with His Excellency Amr Moussa, former Secretary-General of the Arab League and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness expressed his appreciation of Egypt’s important role in the region, and stressed Bahrain’s support for the country’s continued development. He also conveyed his gratitude to Mr. Moussa for his on-going dedication to promoting the interests of the Arab world, and lauded his efforts to strengthen regional and international frameworks for cooperation.
In response, Mr. Moussa expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness. Praising the strength of the bilateral relationship, he also thanked the government and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain for their long-standing support of Egypt.
The meeting was also attended by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, and His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
During his stay in the country, Mr. Moussa is being hosted by the Bahraini Journalists Association, and has given a lecture on developments in the Arab world in addition to attending an event by the International Peace Association.
